Should We Work Together?

If you are an online fitness coach, licensed mental health counselor, or licensed medical professional passionate about physical fitness and overall health, we want to talk to you!  We are going to assume you don’t mind making a buck and we don’t either.   Things might shift over time to the extent legal or ethical challenges don’t preclude it, but we don’t foresee an initial relationship with you where there’s a financial obligation for either party.  You won’t pay us, and we won’t pay you for our members’ ability to access you through our site, learn about your services, and them paying you for your services.

That said, we will be promoting online fitness coaching and mental health services heavily and a “hook” of sorts is that we will take some time to learn about you and your services through the eyes of those 40+ so you will already be vetted to an extent.  We won’t be putting our finger on the scale to benefit one collaborator over another.  If our members think you might be a fit, it will be up to them to reach out to you, and they will decide whether paying you for your services make sense – assuming you want to take them on as a client.  As a new endeavor, we can’t be certain as to how things will go but our hope is certainly that increased traffic and members for us – in our quest to provide good information that works to benefit all – can mean more clients for you.

We want you to have full transparency into what we are doing with/for you, so you’ll always have access to the site even after we implement our subscription service.

Online Fitness Coaches

Who are we looking for?  Primarily those of you who have an interest taking on older clients, you have the bandwidth and, in general, you are good with and committed to your clients.  Your age does not matter (i.e. you don’t need to be 40+) and we need men and women of all races.  There are plenty of good online coaches that don’t have a NASM, ACE, or ISSA certification and we’re happy to consider you with or without certification.  If you are out there doing it big with a 6-figure social media following, that’s great.  If you have a much smaller following but you are good and you have happy clients, please don’t let that deter you.

Mental Health Providers

Who are we looking for?  Again, your age does not matter but you do need to be licensed and we’d very much like to work with health and fitness enthusiasts who “walk the talk” when it comes to exercise and eating right.  Our hope is that your professional training is enhanced that much more because you have personal experience with the mind/body connection within the fitness realm and you’ve probably experienced missing workouts and being off-plan with your diet but you know the benefits of pressing the reset button on one’s thinking so that mistakes can be occasional vs. a mistake turning into sabotage of the whole ballgame.

 Researchers and Licensed Medical Professionals

Who are we looking for?  Your age being less relevant still pertains, but you do need to be licensed or credentialed in your relevant area.  Although medicine is one of our most mature professions, if it was an exact science there wouldn’t be differences of opinion, nor would there be a need for a second opinion.  We are, nonetheless, committed to finding and articulating what “good research” (assuming it exists on a given topic) indicates should be done for the 40+ crowd in the areas of strength training, cardiovascular health, diet, hormones, and supplementation.  If you are a “good researcher” we probably don’t need to explain some basic principles of “good research” but we are talking about numerous studies over time, large sample sizes, limited variables…you know the drill.

Now, if you are one who works within what folks would deem “non-traditional” medicine/health, it’s a new area, or your findings are counter to the prevailing norms, we are not saying we won’t look at, discuss, and share your work.  We will, however as objectively as we can give it it’s proper context – .i.e. the work is indicating this, but it is brand new, or counter to the majority of research, or inconclusive, etc.

So if you are the queen or king of say….poop therapy…the people writing this don’t really know what the hell that is but we’d love to talk more about poop so get at us.
