Truth be told, everything we are talking about – at least to some extent – is out on the internet and social media. Here are 2 quick examples. Related research is out there but research and data aren’t all that fun or sexy to a lot of people so it’s generally pretty sparse and sparser still when you want to focus on folks 40+. Can you find an online fitness coach? Oh, yes. If you have social media and are into fitness, the algorithms will probably make it so they’ll find you. And that process can work. But you probably aren’t going to get a sense from most right off the bat as to their experience with 40+ clients, their success with them, or their desire to take 40+ clients on.
As best we can tell, what isn’t readily available to 40+ individuals is a dynamic platform and a high quality, comprehensive information hub empowering those a little older with access to expert advice, online coaching options, and opportunities to showcase personal health journeys. Adjacent to our platform, we will be doing a whole lot on social media that will allow you to keep up with what we’re working on and won’t cost anything, but after pre-launch we will have a modest monthly subscription service as we’ll be providing exclusive content.
Since we’re currently in pre-launch, we aren’t asking you for a dime. “Joining the Fam” right now means getting on our mailing list, connecting with us on social media and allowing us to share updates with you. In a sense, you get to vet us a bit and better determine whether a few bucks a month might be worth it for you.
When we are fully up in running, our members will receive…
1. A monthly newsletter with news and insights on diet, hormones, supplementation, weight training, running, cardiovascular health, emotional health, and other areas of interest to the 40+ population.
2. Exclusive interviews and discussions with individuals throughout the health and fitness industries.
3. Access to VETTED** online male and female fitness coaches. We will not offer up for our members’ consideration coaches that we don’t know or haven’t had at least some interaction with so we have a sense that working with them will hopefully be a positive, productive experience.
4. Access to VETTED** licensed male and female mental health professionals in as many states as possible (many do virtual sessions but will be licensed in the state where you reside) who are also physical fitness enthusiasts. What we said about fitness coaches applies here.
5. One of the things we are most looking forward to is connecting with people doing great things with their health and fitness and showcasing their stories and accomplishments. And it doesn’t have to focus solely on the physical or the aesthetic. If you are 40+ and you’ve made meaningful progress in an area that you are proud of, happy about, or thankful for – and if you feel others might benefit or be inspired by your story – we want to hear from you!
** Let us say something on the “vetting” piece. Here’s how we look at it. Would we feel comfortable engaging this person – or would we feel comfortable recommending this person to our wives, husbands, parents, siblings, friends or people we care about? We’ll make a legitimate effort to only present coaches and mental health professionals we feel would be of benefit to you. Unfortunately, we might get it wrong from time-to-time. That is why you will need to not just take our word for it, but please contact them and their references (if applicable) and do your own due diligence.
